Data warehouse for a UK independent school

Focus: Centralising pupil metrics and operational reporting to support a shift towards a proactive, data-driven culture across the school.
Delivered: A full-lifecycle, on-premises data warehouse with a denormalised star schema fed by iSAMS source data. Integrated half-term tracking, attendance, rewards and sanctions, CEM baseline testing, and SOCS sports and activities data. Customised Tableau & SSRS reports for school reporting and created reports from data warehouse for internal collaboration with staff & leadership teams.

Data Engineering Government

Focus: Architecting a secure, scalable solution to ingest and analyse sector-wide financial data for a government department.
Delivered: An end-to-end reporting solution on Microsoft Azure using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics dedicated pools, and Azure Data Lake to manage high-volume, sensitive financial data. Custom built accelerators to automate the deployment of database objects and code across the environment for consistency. Metadata-driven Data Factory frameworks for scalable ETL. Fine-grained data permissions ensured secure, compliant access for Department stakeholders. Technical leadership of the development team throughout delivery, delivering a suite of Power BI reports for a large audience, assisting their operational reporting.
